Sturban Clothing Sponsors Organix Hip Hop

Organix Hip Hop is a fresh and unique UK Hip Hop platform based in the North West of the UK. It was designed and created to give rappers and beatmakers a way of getting themselves heard. Every month a different topic is chosen (ie, Summer Holidays, Where Ya From?, Punchlines, Kung Fu) and a beat is provided. Rappers then have a few weeks before the deadline to write & record a 16 bar verse and send it back to Organix HQ.

After the deadline, all verses will be compiled together and the track is mixed into a video and put out through the <a href=""Organix youtube channel, various blogs and even aired on The Bottomless Crates radio show (Wednesday’s 9-11pm.) Voting takes place until the next Organix collaboration is announced and the winners receive prizes courtesy of Sturban Clothing.

Organix have worked with over 60 artists and are always looking for new rappers and beatmakers to work with on this continuous project. They really believe that it is a positive move for UK Hip Hop so your support is greatly appreciated.

Verbum Veritas

Representing the South West of England, Gloucester born hip-hop artist Double E has been creating quality music for a good few years now. An extremely humble, open, consistent and intelligent lyricist, Double uses his effortless flow to paint pictures of life through his eyes. Having previously collaborated and featured on tracks with the likes of Mclean (formerly Digga), Tenny Ten, Maverick Sabre as well as producers such as Tricksta and Juttla, Double E has also made notable appearances on many UK Runnings releases. Double E has maintained a consistency throughout adding to the argument he is amongst the most “slept on” talents in the country, although early feedback from this release suggests this could all be about to change! With three promotional mixtapes receiving downloads in the thousands and the brand new EP and mixtape “Verbum Veritas”, Double also “doubles” as a budding songwriter, penning songs for up n coming RnB/Soul vocalists from the UK to US as well as recording and mixing material for a variety of local talent. Ambitious, hardworking and the ability to turn life into rhyme, Double can have you in tears as quickly as make you dance, and is definitely one to look out for in 2010. Double E is back…

Skrill – Whats My Name

Scrilla was raised in London, schooled in Bermondsey and further educated in Lewisham and Leicester. In his college days Scrilla started taking rapping seriously and began realising his potential. From a young age he would imitate his favourite rappers however his talent really shone through and he further progressed when he went to university. After forming relationships with fellow rappers during his studies, Scrilla and a group of friends decided to form a rap crew. The group had 5 members-Scrilla, 12-gauge, D-man, Playboi and Cesar. As the group was becoming known, there was an unfortunate incident and they lost group member Playboi who passed away. This had a lasting effect on the crew and the remaining quad decided they would go their separate ways and remain friends. It was at this point Scrilla started his solo career without realising, but because of the demands of university he found it difficult to really pursue a career in music. In 2004, Scrilla graduated from Leicester and with music still embedded in his mind he started recording again. In 2008, he penned his 1st solo track (It’s A Rap) taken from his upcoming album and now he is about to embrace the world of music with both arms as he prepares to drop his album ‘Bangers n Cash’. The wait is almost over and he’s ready to let his music do the talking… it’s time for the takeover!
