Sturban Clothing Podcast with Kulez

Sturban Clothing Podcast
Search for Kulez on You Tube and it will soon become apparent that the Zimbabwean born emcee has already packed in so many punchlines and metaphoric imagery that you wonder how he sustained the intensity for over 100 battles.

Looking forward we are set for a debut solo album for 2011. You won’t hear the eerie baritone hollers of Ladysmith Black Mambazo, but the dubstep and d’n’b influence with a hint of grime and a whole load of hip hop lyricism. At 20 years old, still unsigned, no managers, no booking agents or lawyers the kid is fully independent.

Here we have an exclusive mix for Sturban Clothing mixing styles from all genre’s of UK and the odd US urban music artist, and like the Sturban site and clothing brands this mix is raw, earthy, underground and untamed, it’s of the street and for the street – original since the day we dared be different.

If anybody reading fancies doing a podcast it’s one hour min in mp3 format and supply us with a tracklisting, simple as that we aint exclusive we are happy that if you have a band are a producer, dj or just like music then wack some tracks together and entertain us we wont make fun, we not unless you slip in some S Club 7 tracks. we can supply drops so hit me up glyn[at]sturbanclothing.com.

Verbum Veritas

Representing the South West of England, Gloucester born hip-hop artist Double E has been creating quality music for a good few years now. An extremely humble, open, consistent and intelligent lyricist, Double uses his effortless flow to paint pictures of life through his eyes. Having previously collaborated and featured on tracks with the likes of Mclean (formerly Digga), Tenny Ten, Maverick Sabre as well as producers such as Tricksta and Juttla, Double E has also made notable appearances on many UK Runnings releases. Double E has maintained a consistency throughout adding to the argument he is amongst the most “slept on” talents in the country, although early feedback from this release suggests this could all be about to change! With three promotional mixtapes receiving downloads in the thousands and the brand new EP and mixtape “Verbum Veritas”, Double also “doubles” as a budding songwriter, penning songs for up n coming RnB/Soul vocalists from the UK to US as well as recording and mixing material for a variety of local talent. Ambitious, hardworking and the ability to turn life into rhyme, Double can have you in tears as quickly as make you dance, and is definitely one to look out for in 2010. Double E is back…

“Verbum Veritas” The Mixtape

Jack Da Union

Hailing from Slough, Jack Da Union is set to create his own legacy, finally putting aside his ‘roadside’ antics to fulfil his true potential as an artist. ack is commonly known for his Channel AKA smash ‘Hood Tactics’. Even though Jack had no previous promotion, ‘Hood Tactics’ reached Number 1 in their Official chart. ‘Hood Tactics’ was then followed by ‘Run’ which produced similar results, peaking at number 3 in The Channel AKA official chart. Off the success of these singles, Jack released a self-titled Mixtape on Diceros Records, which is co-runs with producer/friend Jon-Con. Without the aid of distributors, PR companies or management, Jack and Diceros Records have managed to amass a worldwide following, with over 20,000 fans on Myspace, and are selling the Mixtape internationally, on iTunes, Amazon and other multinational music stores. Jack has achieved this feat by the use of his unique vocal tone, natural instinctive flow, and clever use of metaphors and similes. Jack is proud to wear the badge of an underground street artist with overground appeal. He says, the direction he goes when writing a track, is set by the ambiance and varied production of his childhood friend and producer Jon-Con. Jack and Jon are set to compete with the top artists either side of the Atlantic, with their own unique twist.

Their latest venture sees them opening the door for other artists in their locale with a Mixtape called The Redkoatz Mixtape Vol.1 ‘Jus Wrappin’ is paving the way for a plethora of videos to promote this project. Jack has already completed his second individual outing which is going to be titled ‘Redkoated’ and will be out Autumn 2010. Jack believes success is an eventuality.
